Really? Has it been that long?

I can't believe it's almost been a month since my last post...not a good way to start out the new year. So where to begin explaining my absence? How about the beginning...just before Thanksgiving we found out that a swollen gland on my husband's neck was cancerous. The week before Christmas we started in on chemo treatments for 3 rounds, each round being 3 weeks apart. Tomorrow is our last chemo treatment and then we have radiation, which will be intense and every day. The first chemo treatment was awful, the last one was wonderful and we are hoping tomorrow will be an even better round. So all my time is spent at home now, nothing to do but clean house, scrap and make lots of yummy meals for Mark. Mark gets cravings and not everything tastes good with the medicine, so when he is craving something, we have to run to the store to get the ingredients to make his dishes. So I am learning to stock up on items so I can quickly put dishes together without having to stop and run to the store. We have been trying out lots of new recipes as he has been craving lots of veggies (something he never did like) and I find him totally glued to the Food Network! Yay! I have totally given up all my daycare kids and although I have so enjoyed that journey, I am tickled to be on this new journey of tending to my own family and spending my free time honing my craft and I so wished I had started this journey sooner!

I have spent most of this month making New Year Resolution's and I find myself quickly working through the list, crossing out the ones I have accomplished and adding more. (Yes, I am a list girl...lots of lists (my lists drive my sister batty :)

So here are some layouts I have made since my last posting...ENJOY!
